GO TARHEELS!!!

John and I had the opprtunity on New Years Eve to go watch UNC play UNR in Reno. John's Mom came with us and tended Madi at her brother's house about an hour and a half out of Reno. That's where we spent the night as well. Everything worked out really well. If any of you know John, you know he is a big fan of the Tarheels! This was his first UNC game and I got to be there! He was in heaven and you will see why. Our seats were second row from the top but we moved down during the 4th quarter.

HERE IS THE BEST PART...

We were about to leave and we walked back in to look at the arena for the last time and Roy Williams and a few other players came back out to talk to fans and their families. So we went down on the floor and stood right next to all of them. Roy Williams was such a classy guy. He spent over a half hour just signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. He was very polite. John was too big of a chicken to ask for a picture with him so we made do.

Brooke had talked to some of the players on facebook and they told her they were going straight to the airport after the game so we decided last minute when we saw their bus pull out to go to the airport. John ran in and talked to some of the players and got a picture with Tyler Hansbrough! That was the highlight of the night. John said he was pretty cool.

John was on cloud 9 the rest of the night. That was so much fun and something we will definitely do again! Hopefully the next time will be in Chapel Hill!
