End of Summer 2011

At the end of the summer we started running out of area in Alaska for John to knock and so we finished the summer in Washington. We moved around a lot so we stayed in hotels which was hard but it was so worth it being able to see John everyday. Some wives would come and go, visit for a week at a time but Melanie and her two girls were out there the whole time with us. It was so nice to have a friend to pass the time until John got home at night. Our girls got along really well and we had a lot of fun together.
This was in Ephrata WA. While in Ephrata we hung out with Melanie and her two girls Marli and Laney, and Dallas and her little girl Oaklee. Here is Madi, Marli, and Oaklee being silly. We cut through the cemetary to get to the park.

One Sunday after church we drove to Snoqualmie Falls. It was beautiful.

Next we moved to Moses Lake WA. Here are some of the things we did here.
Swam at the hotel next door(no pics). Madi learned to swim on her own with her arm floaties :)
Playing with sidewalk chalk

Walking to the dollar store to pick out a toy.

I couldn't fit my double stroller in the trunk so we had to make do.

Playing on the rocks

Playing hard before its bedtime. Brynli,Laney (showing me her nose:)), Marli,Madi

Went to the water park. Laney and Brynli

Sat on the white bench

Watched movies on the bed while eating lunch

We went to a Seattle Mariners game but I can't find the pictures :( We went with the whole office.
On our way to the game

We went through many tunnels and Madi would get to excited.

Next we moved to Yakima WA.
We walked on this trail for about a mile and there was a playground along it. It was way too hot to be walking on a blacktop trail in the summer heat so we didn't stay long. John teases me because the kids handle the heat better than I do.

Went to the splash pad. Yes that is her cousin Luke in the picture. I will explain why he is there later.

Having fun at the playground

Hanging out in the hotel in their new jammies

Here we are on the drive home. Our husbands were extending for a week so we carpooled home. We were jampacked and this guy in our office needed a ride home. So he squeazed in this seat. He didn't even complain once. We were all so anxious to get home that we didn't care!
